I am looking to get a gift for someone .... a pair of ski goggles. I have tried to do my research, but I am at a loss. I have looked into Smith I/O's 2011, but now have found Smith Intersection I/O's, which are a little bit more and come with a hard case.

Am I looking up the right alley? I want the best pair of goggles, under $200 ... help! He's a general skier who will be taking more trips this year. I like the interchangable lense aspect ... but yea.... I need some help!!!

What kind of goggles?! What's the difference between those two?

Thanks!!

goggles are a very personal thing. fit/comfort is as important, if not more so, than most of the technical specs. if the person in question wears a helmet, they will almost certainly choose a different set of goggles than if they don't, head shape and size affect it too. Best thing to do is take them shopping and let them choose IMO or be sure that the shop will exchange if needed. good luck, Phil

Yeah I'd agree with Phil on this one.

Goggles are tricky to get right. It really does depend on the fit. First I went out I had a fairly cheap pair but it did the job wonderfully. Second time I went out I borrowed from my instructor his goggles and while I had good vision, it just did not click for me and felt very uncomfortable (even though they were much more up market)
