Can anyone suggest a brand of ski rack that you can fix to the back of a car, instead of the roof. I have a Land Rover Defender which stands very high off the ground. So lifting all our skis onto the roof is not a good option. I have seen racks fitted to the back of vehicles before but cannot find one online. Any suggestions very gratefully received.

Have a look at these people, I have always had a good service from them and a very good price.

Wickers, from the link you've provided, can you direct the OP to the site page with the back racks please? I can't find it!

Apologies guy's they have been discontinued from the range, it's a shame as the prices have always been good on that site.

The Gringo rear-mounted ski rack is exactly what I am looking for, and perfect for a Land Rover. A great suggestion. Thank you!

I just hope you aren't driving all the way to the alps with your ski bindings exposed to the grit, and crud thrown up from the road.
because I'm so inclined .....
