Hi
Not sure you can hire helmets, in addition even if you could I don't think it would be a great idea. If the helmet has been worn during an accident, therefore potentially had a bang/blow to the head the helmet would have been weak, therefore not offering the protection it was designed for, your choice but thought it was worth mentioning. On a separate note have you been Heli Skiing in Chamonix before, if not you are in for a real treat.

Most ski shops in Europe will rent you a helmet for any duration. Take a thin beanie with you in case the fit is sloppy. Most ski shops now disinfect liners between rentals.
AFAIK Heli skiing in France is forbidden, so your heli trip will leave from Chamonix to Switzerland or Italy.

I agree with bandit I would say all ski shops that I have come across all hire helmets, but I would not fancy putting my head where many heads have been before.

Cost about £10 - 15 when OH hired in Switzerland. You could always buy one and then wear it all the time when you ski. )
