Tips on Aviemore skiing?

Hi

First time on here - hi all. Wasn't sure where to place this message, thought this forum might be best.

I'll be skiing for the first time in Scotland next week - in Aviemore for a few days with family & friends but won't get the chance to ski for more than a day, two at the very most.

I'd really appreciate a quick crash course on where to go for good deals on ski & boot hire, lift passes etc - it would be really helpful if I could just make the hire thing as painless as possible.

Also, what would you advise for a single day's skiing? I haven't ski'd for about four years and while I am no expert, I can take care of myself.

Think that's it. Any advice/info welcomed.
