My wife's boots took a week of skiing to bed in properly. Mine were comfy from day one. Lucky me. I'd give them a few hours on the slopes to truely know if they need tweaking.

Thanks GetJim,
I undid my boots and wriggled my toes for a few minutes and then went back out and skied some more without any problems.

I am planning on going back out on the snow dome when I have some time (probably the end of June) before I actually ski on real snow in October. I can see that it can take a while to get used to new ski boots - especially with these special insoles and after leg position correction.

You were lucky yours were fine from the beginning - I think I may be a bit more like your wife.

I am preparing my report, but I thought I'd put it in a new thread, so that people can read it without reading all this other stuff, if they don't want to.

When I had them on in the shop I knew they would need some work as they werent perfect-first day skiing the whole of the front of my foot was numb but they are a very stiff boot so wasnt expecting them to be comfortable.
Second day when I put them on there was a real problem with the left heel-i only did three runs!
When Im skiing they are amazing but just not when sitting on lifts, standing still or walking about-prepared to sacrifice a bit of comfort for the performance though!

Rossyhead,
I hope your boots improve - they sound horribly uncomfortable

Is it the sort of plastic they're made of that makes them so stiff, or what?
I'm afraid I'm the other way around, and I think I'd rather sacrifice a bit of performance for comfort - but maybe it's because I'm not a very good skier yet

To be honest im not really sure, i think its the back bone of the boot that makes it stiff as there is a screw you can insert into the heel to make them even stiffer!!
my last boots were only 100flex and were completely knackered having been skied on for about 25weeks in the last 3 years so these just take a bit of getting used to.....

My (stiff, Salomon 120) boots were very comfortable for a long time (although they have about 20 weeks in them now so the liners are a bit shot). I undo the bottom 2-3 buckles on lifts otherwise they wouldn't be wearable.
