Deckchairs across the loading point with Union Jacks would do the job.
Whats wrong with flying into Innsbruck ?, possible the most scenic arrival we have ever experienced.
The other words of advice are NOT to put a hole in your electronic lift pass so you can clip it in your jacket pocket. If you do it won't work at the gondola turnstile, the grumpy liftie shouts at you in his politest Sunday gruff and you proceed out of the side gate, back to the ticket office and to the back of the queue. Not a good move on a very busy Sunday. Someone  in our group did.

Our group had the Penkenbahn down to a fine art by the end of the week. As were a group of 12 we could spread ourselves into a wide line from the car entry point on the left curving across to the platform edge on the right. Mangaged a full house of 12 in our own gondola 90% of the time. Very selfish but added a bit of fun to the early morning queue.

I read a great story about Germans and a gondola last year. Apologies if I have already told this one, but its good - so there were a couple of Germans pushing everyone to get to the front of the gondola queue, they get to the front, put their skis in the rack and just as the doors shut Mr Liftie takes the skis out and off they go up the mountain minus skis
Anyway, I'd love to go back to Mayrhofen, its been 10 years and its sure to have changed. Its just that flight to Innsbruck that puts me off, although I guess Salzburg/Munich are an option?

I know its a great airport scenery wise, but its the worst airport for delays because of fog, every time I use that airport I'm delayed for hours.
Perhaps I've just been unlucky but its put me off.

I have only used it once last March, everything was fine, I have heard though that the airport suffers from fog.
