Have a look at Soldeu in Andorra. Their school has an excellent reputation.

Steve, you are right. School in soldeu is great (have been there) but I have probs with no snow in soldeu.

Soldeu or possibly Les Carroz part of the grand Massif, good tree lined runs back to the village

Our kids learned with Swiss Mountains Sports in Crans-Montana. Great English spoken, lovely instructors, max 5 to a class. Great area to start them off in, plus it's sunnier and therefore less cold for them than other resorts.
