Les 2 Alpes

L2A resort was up for sale before this season.
A client of mine goes every christmas and swears by the place.
Might have a day in L2A when I am in ADH in January to see what the crack is.

We will all be in La Berangere for afternoon tea (beer) from 4.30 every day - unless we head over to ADH for the day.............all welcome.

Whats the skiing like in L2A at the moment? Are all the runs open? We are heading over on 2nd Jan so lloking forward to it.

I've done many trips to LDA and love it!
The green goat run is very full at times....Keep an eye on the time when everybody starts to leave and go earlier or later....you'll see what i mean! you can set a clock by the locals!!
Or just get the lift!! )

Got back last week after a week skiing in L2A. Must say was very impressed with Club Med where we stayed, food was superb and service fantastic!
The Valentin black run back in to resort is tricky enough esp when icy but they had a huge dump of snow on the day before we left which should improve it. The green road run is nearly always busy and not reccommended. The skiing on the glacier is amazing with fabulous views of Mont Blanc and other mountains. All in all very enjoyable week and would def return.

Thanks for the Advice all - the trip from Lyon was amazingly quick and straight forward :) As usual L2A was great, it rained 1 night which caused some problems for our novice borders (getting to the main lesson meeting point was an interesting affair :) ) The snow was great otherwise (a while ago now) we may go back in march , but we'll see :)

Oh and if you do drive and like us it is your first time - the way back is the bad part - L2A to Grenoble took an Age! There was a traffic jam to rival any city between the mountains and the city. From there to Lyon was a dream.

I know this resort is on a glacier and pretty high altitude but will there be snow 27 March - 3rd April? Anybody been around this time before? Got any ski hire / Transfer recommendations?

We can't really afford to go but have booked it anyway!! Return flights £85pp including fees and 15kg luggage from stanstead on ryanair and cheap accommodation through les2alpes.com WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
