Oh...anywhere within say an hour and a half from Chambery, or Geneva, or Innsbruck

For a Geneva arrival that puts you in range of the Portes du Soleil, Flaine, La Clusaz and Chamonix. Most Swiss ski stations (Valais) are 2 hours or more. Lots of the Swiss resorts have pegged lift ticket prices at last years rates. I'm not sure about the French resorts' pricing strategy.
