sauzeonline wrote:Its all relative. You can pick up a slice of pizza (take away) for a couple of Euros however if you want a really nice pizza in a restaurant then 10-15 euros is the norm. At todays prices this is between 8 and 12 pounds. Last time I looked you'd expect to pay around £12 for a dominos pizza. Believe me these are much nicer than Dominos!!

No it is not relative old chap, I have just come back from northern Italy Pizza between 5 and 10 euros.....By the way I do not eat take away pizza in the UK it's disgusting, I prefer the proper thing normally only brought in Italy.....my suggestion stands go back and tell your restaurants they are over priced

Thanks for your comments everyone – my mouth is watering reading this. :D

The figures that have been mentioned are about what I expected, and although I'm not really a pizza person (well, not when given the option of pasta or risotto) my OH and brother are, so it's useful to have an idea of prices in town. IIRC we paid about €9 for a pizza for lunch last year (which was huge and fed both of us), but that was at Sportinia.

Now all I need to do is sort out an apartment, which is proving a lot trickier than I expected. I guess everyone must be away on their summer hols, as no-one is replying to my e-mails. :(
