Forgot to mention also, that the kids get to go in the ski school races. The big joy for them is the prize giving ~ red school event is great. After all the medals bit, you get to join in bell-ringing, shoe-platter, dancing.

Not sure what the blues do.

USP for the blues I would think... 8)

@Coop:

Don't worry about the blue skischool....There is a big diffrence to the red: The blue skischool is a smaller skischool than the reds! I'm working there now since 5 years and nobody ever complained about it! We also got the kids race on thursday and we've also got a race for the adulds. The pricegiving for the kids is always in the afternoons with big trophys and medails... And for the aduls here is alway a big presentations night on thursday evening! We've got funny sketches, dancers and bell ringers....Otherwise just have a look on the homepage! For this season there is a new kinderland for the kiddies with loads of new stuff! ou will see your kids will love it!!! Hopefully i see u here in feb! Where about ur staying???

hi coop,
opt out of the blue deal you have and pay for the reds: I've worked for the reds, teaching the children, and your family will be looked after well. DIN! do as dave mac recommends!

haha Tony, you always make me laugh lol.

My kids aged 8&10 both went into the red ski school last year. ON the whole they were good and my kids learned to ski, but there were deffo some negatives about them.

1. the fact that they shoved the kids into the gondola all ages between 7 and about 11 with no adult supervision and some of the unruly kids decided that seeing how far they could make the gondola swing would be a good laugh! oh how my kids laughed......NOT!
2. once they were ushered onto the tbars they were often left for about 15 mins at the top of the slope, again unsupervised, just left to their own devices waiting for the instructor to come up with the last child.

Bearing in mind that we went during February half term and it was ridiculously busy so going at times outside of this then number 2 probably wouldnt be an issue.

I also find that where Niderau is concerned there is a lot biased opinions and anyone who doesnt agree is shot down in flames, so I hold my breath and wait for the firing shots.......

If you want to know any more info, it will be best to pm me as like I said you are not allowed to give any negatives on Neiderau on this forum.

Wow. I think this is the most negative post I've ever read on this forum.
I am not pro or neg Niederau.
I had a great couple of days there but really don't like negative thinking. I'm a glass half full girl

Lighten up please everyone - no one ski resort can please all the people, all the time. It's clear that Niederau - like just about every other ski resort - suits some people better than others. Whatever your experience, please own it and accept that others have a different perspective.

For an advanced take on this concept, my son recommends "The Tale of Johnny Town-Mouse" by Beatrix Potter. 8)

That's simply not true Karen. Your honest account of your trip was accepted for what it was - and is still on the forum in its entirety. Same for Tony H. There are alternative opinions and experiences related too, that you allude to.

I'm going to lock this thread now, but if anyone would like to know about Niederau then please ask in the forum (and you're sure to get a range of opinions - politely and respectfully expressed... :D ).
