I got married in Zermatt and can definitely recommend it. And Zermatt is high enough that you'll be sure of snow. Switzerland is one of the few countries where you can marry if you are not a resident.

You need to do a bit of paperwork first, but it's not too bad, basically prove that you are both free to marry and not already married. Than contact the town hall and tell them you want to get married there (you need to do a civil cermony as well as a church one to be legal). Contact the church of your religion and get whatever you need for that (letters of freedom etc). We got an English speaking, skiing priest who came out from Geneva to marry us, as the local one didn't speak English and wasn't keen on the idea.

Apart from that, there's very little else to worry about. Bring a nice warm outfit, tell your hotel you want a nice meal that evening and why (probably get free fizz). Tell all your friends and family and let whoever wants come out and join you.

My sons are 19, 21 and and 24 and they do, as you would expect, do their own thing. However, skiing as a family is still very much on the agenda  so I think you may have to wait a bit longer than you expect before you're kids are 'on their way'.

Maybe only time will tell. We thought about getting married in a ski resort but family and friends are not really into that type of thing and we were worried about people paying out alot.

The main thing is the holiday in Jan 2010 for the 5 of us and all at adult rates. Only been to France and going to Arabba in March so not got much to compare to really.

Its snowing here in Heysham by the way! :P
