Great isn't it? You used to mention La Rosiere and a bloke would pop up trying to flog you a chalet holiday there, in fact you could mention anywhere in the world and he'd try and flog a week in La Ros'

:DHi tima,

Don't forget to visit Le Riondet (located on the La Thuile side ,at the top of the summer road which you ski down into La Thuile when comming from La Rosiere) it's a great place for lasagne and a bottle of wine at lunch :D :D.

Also a good warm hat or neck warmer for the last chair lift over to L Rosiere.....bitingly cold at times.

Have an ejoyable safe trip.

Jon.

I went to Le Ros last xmas, best xmas i have ever had!!! Fantastic. It was my first time skiing, had a couple of 2hr lessons and was doing blues on my 2nd day. I will definitely be going back as personally there is loads to do for beginner/intermediate. Le Ros is family orientated, but with a 4yr old boy we found it excellent. We stayed in 'The Bracconier' chalet which was really cosy, staff really good and at the bottom of a nursery slope, perfect for us. I'm sure whatever your skiing ability is, you'll have a lovely time in Le Ros. ENJOY!!!!

Got back last monday. Unfortunately we will not be going back to La Rosiere. The wind was absolute hell. It was windy for 5 of the 7 days we were there. All of us on the trip Kitesurf or windsurf and agreed that it would make a wicked windsurf resort if there was a big lake but for skiing it was a nightmare.

We went over to La Thuile everyday and the skiing was awesome. We had fresh tracks most days which was wicked. I think if we went back we would stay in La Thuile and go over to La Ros if the conditions look good. We were probably unlucky with the weather but rumor has it that it is a pretty windy resort.

Spent a short break a couple of years ago in La Thuile really enjoyed the skiing, really liked the idea of going somewhere so the ski over to La Ros was great the long drag was fine, but there was some great trad restaurants selling trad food had some great local sausages with polenta with a rich red wine gravy, sublime,,,

I really liked La Thulie and would definitely stick it on my places to spend more time.

'A paradise of little north faces' (sic) as someone once said.
