Hi all. Sorry for lack of attentiveness... got so tied up with sorting out accommodation that I forgot about this message!

We've been to Serre Che twice in 4 years... we're going back again! We found a catered chalet willing to do a deal for us a bit outside of Briancon, but as we'll have hire vehicles that's fine. Can also nip to Montgenevre and Puy St. Vincent too.

My experience of hotels/apartments in Italy remains poor... Apart from the Dolomites area, where things seem much more organised (probably the Austrian influence!). Generally the websites for the Italian alps are poor and uninformative, accommodation is hard to source and even harder to book... it's a shame as it's a great area.

Have to agree sadly. Italian hotels generally in the north east are not good, and the information is not as good, if you can find any at all!
As pointed it, its a shame because there is some good skiing to be found, and the Italians have such a relaxed attitude towards it all.
