I done a whole season in just Hiking boots from nightclub to fancy presentations.

Unless your off to ski with Prince Charles I dont think anyone notices in a ski resort.

Its sometimes worth taking an old jacket for the evenings though as I have know them to go missing by the end of the night not advisable to take your new Quicksilver and leave it hanging by the door.

If I had a Quiksilver jacket, I'd want someone to nick it

couldnt really care less what people think of my choice of ski wear to be honest ;) im sure il break a taboo or two and get a few dirty looks with my poor knowledge of ski etiquette

for anyone interested...i ended up getting most things in tk maxx

jacket, salopettes, socks (x2), goggles, gloves.

ski wear section was busy so i actually asked a few fellow shoppers for recommendations and i think ive done ok

hope this thread can help anyone else who finds themself in my situation

ahh only 3 weeks till im off to the alps
