I'm not saying that with lousy skis it's still a hoot to tear up the hill, but if one is flexible enough to use an all around ski it will allow for crud-powder-ice situations. You can't go skiing with three different pairs of skis and keep switching to match conditions. If you want to ski the whole mountain, adjust to the mountain. (Besides, I can't afford three pairs of skis with today's prices).


Well I'm taking two pairs in Jan and maybe a third if I can fit them in the car and they will be straights, for a rather special test 8) 8)

Well,
I will be trying a different pair of skis every day in the ski camp in Tignes in October. It will be interesting to see if I can notice any difference. What I really want are the sort of skis that don't buck or rear and throw you off.

ally, sure you will have great fun testign skis in tignes...guess you are going with mountain sun ...make sure you test the narrow nes...there ain't going to be too much pow on the glacier at that time of the season
