Well it's been snowing at 1600 m today and 1800 m yesterday in Tignes, les Arcs, La plagne (I can't see further from my window !)... and probably around !

Well it's been warm and sunny here in La Clusaz this weekend, but here's what La Balme looked like yesterday morning (snow level about 1600m up to 2500m at the top) and there's been a small patch of snow up at about 2300m that hasn't disappeared all year - the first time we've seen that in the 3-4 years we've been here, so we're very hopeful for this season!

Weather's a bit variable day-to-day and from place-to-place right now. I see elsewhere in France there was some great snow :

Hi snowgirl,
We`re coming to Les Arcs 2000 next feb. for first time so it had better snow! Looking on Les Arcs photo gallery for last feb 07 they had more snow than Morzine/Avoriaz. What`s the best apres ski bar to go to??

Hi Annieh,

You sure will have good snow in les Arcs, it's really hight, shouldn't have any worries.

There is plenty of bars, I think you'll have a good time trying them !

There are 2 I like, one it's an english bar with lots of seasonnaires it's the Red hot Saloon. Can be a bit too young sometimes and there is a pool table.
The other one is the jungle cafe, always had a good laught over there, very friendly staff and good ambiance. Nice for late evenings as well with a great kebab shop next door for very late and drunk nights !

Enjoy !
