freezing levels are then predicted to rise again though, after the cold spell......

Praise be - it's snowing here in La Clusaz! :D

About 10cm of fine fresh powder (due to the dropping temps) snow has come down since lunchtime today (Tues) and still snowing with another 15-20cm forecast overnight tonight! I'll let you all know if it arrives tomorrow if I have time before catching the first lift up the mountain (I've so missed powder days this season!) :lol:

Snowing heavily in Les Gets today from what I can see on the Web Cams. Fingers crossed its here to stay. Some are saying the temperature will rise soon.

I think we can assume from the silence that he's on a chairlift! :evil:

The La Clusaz WebCams are showing a lot more snow than yesterday - and the cam on l'Aiguille looks like a white-out right now!

When are you off there?

Even I have woken up to a covering of snow this morning, about 2 inches. if its snowing here, its definately snowing in the Alps!!

...but, yes, a few cm in the Kent hills this morning too. Not enough to ski the hill over the road (would have to slalom round the sheep) but very picturesque...
