A helmet keeps by head warm in a way that my hair or a beanie could not...

Here is a tutorial for everything you need to know. Helmet gap (or Gorby Gap) is covered at 0:46.

All joking aside, get a helmet that fits you well and is comfortable.

Always follow the 20cm rule!

I was getting at the bright colours these gapers apparently wear. I did think last year about getting a helmet, I'll decide when I get there.

Ha ha sorry I didn't notice the second page of comments. I see what you mean about the gap  I dunno why iv never really gone with a helmet might see how one fits when I pick up the skis.

My coat is white and grey, only went with green cos they where the only ones with enough pockets in the store. So tried em on, they seemed alright and here we are. Me previous ones were black. 8)

Weird concept - you have to be a good skier to wear bright colours

Maybe I'm breaking all the rules - low inter with very bright clothing

I also have a Marcel Hirscher helmet - not because I can ski like him but because I admire the way he skis and like the colours

Bit like every fan in the crowd wearing a team shirt probably isn't a great player

Bet I look like a right gaper on the slopes

Oh well - I'm skiing

Yve:-)

Speaking as a mother.....wear a helmet! Yes you can get different size goggles. Difference in shape too. So when you buy your helmet try them on with it to get the right fit. I have a small head....don't laugh! So have tried on nearly every pair of goggles in the shop before. You will know straight away if they are a good fit or not. Good luck
