I am going to use their skis from now on at the club. Do you go on a Friday?
Where is our nearest snowdome?
Cheers,

Nearest snowdome to us is Milton Keynes, make sure you clean your binding as that white stuff that squirts out on the slope coats them and just check your bases for any damage.
I have let my membership run out although my daughter keeps nagging me to rejoin, so rejoining does seem on the cards but as part of concerted fitness drive to try and build the muscles around my knees.
As for snow fit I have used them for many years and I have always found them very helpful, Mrs W brought some boots from them last year and I was impressed by the customer service they offered her.

The Nordica Helles Bells and similar skis from other manufacturers are designed for skiing on soft snow so they don't work very well on hard snow or hard surfaces like artificial ski slopes.

Nordica skis are usually quite stiff and at 90mm under foot the Helles Bells will take some work to get them from edge to edge. Compare how the lady in these video clips skis on the Helles Bells and the Wild Belle, look at how much easier the Wild Belle is to ski in the moguls and how much further up on edge she can get them compared with the Helles Bells.

Probably not the best ski for someone with dodgy knees. Be very careful especially if the snow is hard.

Thanks. I had a look. Couldn't see a big difference but I take your point _ 6 cms difference in foot width will affect performance somewhat. I guess but maybe stability will be a plus. I don't ski fast
I was told a good all mountain Ski that is good on all conditions so fingers crossed.

The snowdome at hemel is probably nearest..but I find good tho it is, theres not much pressure on the skis to really work them as the slope is quite gentle ! Have a go and see if you agree.

I am having six days in the alps this month and I'm a good old weight so i expect I'll soften them quickly.
Was just interested in where I could find real(pretend real) snow in the uk. I'll definitely be visiting in warner climes . Is it open all year?
