What use the information was, when I did switch it on, I have reservations about, but it was interesting. Has nothing to do with quality of skiing or how good technique is, and is it improving!!

To revive this
Been looking at Ski Tracks. Thinking of splashing out the 79p fee. It says that it does not drain battery power. Anyone any experience of this?
Is it just GPS that it uses for location etc?
Surely the max speed all day will be when I am on a cable car? I am no speed demon

When I remembered to use it in st Moritz and hintertux, it drained battery like a beeeeeatch
But it works on GPS so doesn't nail you for 3G
86 kph was the fastest bre corded, which compared to the old man of j2 is pathetic. But that was 2 seasons ago and I am definitely quicker now ;-)
Buy it. Get on with it. Enjoy it.

I used it in Seefeld in Feb, and whilst I did not remember to use it often enough, I found that it wasn't too heavy on the battery of my Samsung.Iceman wrote:To revive this

Best way to burn calories is to go to a long steep slope and ski very badly.
