If cost isn't an issue then I would say Courchevel everytime. It is pretty much snow sure that time of the year and the runs into 1850 would suit newbies and those that want to potter about and would have a great time.

The others can blast elsewhere and still meet back at the same starting point easily.

Depending on budget I would say most places in Austria would come next but then not as snow sure.

Sharky. It seems I'm guilty of providing you with 'duff gen' . I checked on the web-site and found that flights are included in the price after all. So it's good news. They will deduct the price of the flights if you preferred to drive there yourself. £100 per person with BA is a good price, so unless you have a phobia of flying or are allergic to airports, I can't see why anyone would want to.

Saas Fee is a good shout. A colleague at work went with his family a couple of years ago and loved it. I also know a guy who returns to Seefeld year after year. That's a recommendation in itself.

This will be our third year in succession in Seefeld, and we know people who return year after year too.

The ski area does not seem as large as some of the French resorts, but there are plenty of runs on offer, and I am looking forward to trying a few new ones this year, as my skill (hopefully) improves. I might even try the night skiing this year.

I'm told there is a fantastic public pool/spa/ice skating/indoor sports complex, but as yet, with all the things we find to do, we have not explored it. There are tons of bars and restaurants (can't vouch for the late, late night life!). The clothes shops look a bit expensive, but there are numerous interesting shops to window-shop at.

It's lovely!
Bant a ni!
