Mr Grumpy.
Sometimes having a laugh and making yourself look stupid is perfect for having a good time. On many occasion i have made myself look like a total t**t but that generally involves alcohol and enjoyed every minute of it.

They do it every season on the closing day in Verbier. We had a go two years ago, great fun and not that difficult to clear the pool if you get in fast, don't brake before the pool, stay calm when you hit water and don't lean forward.

Not at all. I just have no intention of getting soaking wet without doing it on a beach or by a pool in the appropriate attire. I'd happily sit and watch people like you makes arses of themselves for 10 mins before stopping wasting any more VST

The fact that nearly everyone, at some point on their ski holiday, ends up looking like a real idiot is one of the things I like most about going ski-ing!

For example, a couple of years ago our ski instructor had just finished dividing us all into 2 ability groups and he turned round to continue ski-ing and fell over :D

And people often fall over whilst standing still listening to the instructor, and I fell over outside a cafe once when I unintentionally ended up ski-ing on one ski :D

I don't need alcohol to look really silly - it just seems to happen naturally :D

So, that water slide would suit me perfectly - if I had enough guts to go down it

We went to Les Arcs last year and we gutted they were just setting it up before we left. The secret seems to be to do it in shorts and have someone take your kit down for you, it's only a 100m drop to the zone from the run above.

We came across this slide when we were in Les Arcs 3 years ago.

There is a convenient chalet/restaurant at the bottom right opposite the wet end. You can sit there on a deck chair with a beer and enjoy the antics of the brave/foolhardy people who give it a go.

The run down is quite long and from what I could see, you need to have quite a lot of speed to clear the pool and lean back slightly as you reach the water (so the tips don't dig in). Only the very committed seemed to have any chance and after watching for half an hour, I only saw one who actually did it. The rest ended up very wet and very cold.

Not for me but hilarious to watch.
I can see my house from here...

Entertaining to watch!
Not sure it's for me.

Don't do it in your kit - especially on your last day as the weight of the water will take you way over your luggage allowance!

If it's on the last day of the season there is no VST to waste, it's just one big party on slopes...
