It's all a bit underground, if you want that kind of stuff it's there, but it's not in your face tacky like a trip to Blackpool !

You wouldn't have to worry about going into a bar with your vicar
and seeing scantily clad Austrian(most of the lap dancing is done by russian/eastern block girls - so i've been told)women sliding up and down a pole ! Mind you he might like it :P

Brilliant resort and clean(as in hygiene) unlike the grubby places you get in the French Alps.

So, the resort has a seedy and unpleasant side which is hidden from public view and uses immigrant workers in the sex trade.
I think I'd avoid all apres ski there, it sounds awful.

I have read that the skiing is very much wide open carving pistes with little off piste or freeriding available?

Based on your skiing experiences there would you say that was correct?

You wouldn't be aware of the lap dancing side of things, if you did the normal apres ski. We only found out about it from a group of Danish guys
staying in our pension. Yes massif carving pistes, with not alot of black runs. We did a day off piste with the son off our pension owner and it was good, but then that's local knowledge.

the resort is an intermediate paradise, blues for those that want it although not so many blacks. #21 is a groomed black and if you have the balls you can let it go from the top, only saw 1 person do this and he was in full race kitas was his 3 buddies so assume he was there for some type of training.couple of ski routes are there and tried these but temps were high and snow was worn and very heavy so cant really give an opinion on these and never went off piste due to conditions so again i cant comment on this.
We stayed in hotel alpina and only went to ischgl as it was a bargain deal that we managed to get, hotels in this resort are expensive. I am an all day skiier and usually in bed by 9pm so cant really comment on night life.
would i go again? absolutely but it would have to be on a special deal due to hotel prices.

That is correct, same price as the one in Ibiza to get in to. Shocking that people actually would.

Sorry, but this thing about Pacha is (in my experience) rubbish! I went end of Jan 2011 and paid (I think) 10 euros to get in and normal prices at the bar. However, it is rubbish so isnt even worth paying that to get in. Stick to the bars/clubs around the resort centre.

There are a lot of myths about the prices of drinks in the resort as well. We didnt think they were any higher than any other resort we have been to, and definitely cheaper than the French ones we have visited!
It is true what they say about the runs back down to the village though, like a motorway! The Gondola's are an easy option to get back down though.

Overall fantastic resort. Would recommend highly.
