Managed to ski some of Pal over the week which was a nice change from Arinsal and just a short ride over in the cable car.
I tested out my new boots and found the outer side of my shins were getting sore after a day or so. I was informed they were a size too big for me but saw a fantastic guy in the Sant Moritz ski shop called Enrique who was great and fitted an extra sole in them and a heel raise and only charged me 7 euro. Had no problems with them after that and was glad i invested in my own boots. They are so much nicer than hire boots!
I also skied a good few red runs which was a first for me and really enjoyed the challenge. Maybe a black next year? We'll see!!
Unfortunately i woke up in the Thursday morning with a stinking cold and struggled through ski school. I left the slopes after lunch and got myself some stuff from the pharmacy and had a rest. I did feel a little better on the final day and muddled through the last day of ski school and mananged to fall spectacularly in my slalom race much to the amusement of the group. Will try and post the video later for your amusement!
Returned home on Saturday after much ear pain on the flight home and visited my local walk in centre on Sunday as i was feeling pretty dreadful. I have a mighty dose of pleurisy and when they examined my ears they said they're not perforated but the membranes are full of tiny blood spots! I'm still waiting for them to pop back now after the flight. Maybe to do with a heavy cold and altitude?
Anyway we still had a great time and looking forward to planning our next ski trip.
This is the first time i've posted pictures on here so hope they work and don't come out too big!
