Hi,
whats the main differences between hire and you own ski bindings?
Other than i have noticed on hire bindings the front one is adjustable for quick centering for different foot/ boot size etc?

Depends, even within non-hire bindings there are huge differences. Adjustability, weight and stack height are the 3 main ones I can think of.
I don't really understand, why would you want to hire bindings ???
I've never seen bindings for hire.......perhaps I'm losing the plot
