Hopefully last post regarding equipment advice, sorry for the annoyance and thanks to community help so far. Anyone heard of the make dare 2b for ski jackets and pants, and if they are any good in terms of quality, practicality and style?
Cheers!

I got hold of a really nice lightweight two tone red jacket last season for £25, an absolute steel for a £100 jacket, and it looks smart too.
I prefer much of their stuff to most of the Trespass range which is similarly priced.

British brand I believe, and well made. By far not the best gear on the market but good value for money. This years range is a lot more technical and fashionable than previous years. Some garish colours though!tolk wrote:Hopefully last post regarding equipment advice, sorry for the annoyance and thanks to community help so far. There are a few D2b shops springing up now as their gear gets better & better reviews, had a look at some myself two weeks ago at the Manchester SnowZone & bought my son a jacket, salos & base layers. Very good quality, some innovative features & a good price. If it performs as good as it looks your onto a winner.

Its a brand we first bought for our first ever trip. Certainly did the job it was supposed to do. When we decided we liked it and would continue we bought better gear. Having said that I bought a pair of Dare2B sallos last weekend. I wanted a resonably priced sallo, a couple of sizes bigger than I normally have to ski as certain activities I shall be doing I will need some trackies under, as it gets so cold. I shall look like michelin man.

My daughter has worn Dare2b ski trousers for a couple of years now, and they seem to be fine.

Agreed, some of the colours they have are aweful. But most of the jackets have a more neutral black, brown or grey alternative, style seems ok and they are well priced so I think i'll go for it. Thanks for the help.

Personally speaking, I'd pay a bit more and go for something better like North Face.tolk wrote:Agreed, some of the colours they have are aweful.
