Who has the oldest skis still in use.

My skis are five years old & by today's standards with the ever changing technology would be classed as old, so who has the oldest pair of skis still in use on the forum :?:

I was given a very old pair - not sure how old exactly - but they are about 195cm long and very thin - I've never used them but am happy to give them away to anyone who wants to collect them from Milton Keynes. If anyone is interested I will look up the make/size/type etc.

Likewise, I have another pair of Elan skis also 195cm which must be twenty years old now, tried to ski on them again about two years ago & found it almost impossible using the same skiing technique that i use today. Definitely wouldn't go back :!:

I have two 1995 Burton Factory Prime alpine snowboards, that still get ridden now and again. They were new old stock, so actually haven't been ridden that much. Although alpine board designs have been refined over the years, the old ones still perform very well. Not something that can be said about skis :lol:

Boards from the early eighties can be very collectible, especially if the bindings, or the straps that passed for bindings, are in good condition. Most of them were wrecked, so good examples can fetch good prices. Boards like the Burton Primes are still sold on ebay for use on snow.
