Hi Gemski,
Have experience of both Mayrhofen and Neiderau, both excellent resorts. Mayrhofen is a much bigger resort with more variety of runs, lots of nightlife and shops. Neiderau however is my preference as it is smaller and user friendly if you have children with you. The Apres ski scene is still very good, particularly Gunthers Bar! Both stations have good snow records and ski schools.

Hello Gemski
Mayrhofen is really good & is up there as one of my favourite resorts, with the exception of the cue to get up onto the Penken I can't think of anything negative to say about the place. The village has grown but still has charm, good nightlife & après ski . Niederau is much smaller & has a very loyal following of guests who return year in year out of which I am one but to be fair I usually self drive & use Niederau as a base to explore the Kitzbuhler Alpen region. If you want miles of piste go to M & if you want small & personal go N.
Hope this helps.
