Are there any resorts whic are snow sure in early feb, kinda worried about there being no snow :-)

Hi gemski,

I think in Feb your pretty safe in most of the resorts. Lech has mountains of the white stuff that's what it's known for. It's in the Arlberg region.

You will be incredibly unlucky not to get snow in February irrespective of where you ski (especially something run by a tour operator). Just pick a cheap resort with plenty beginner terrain and go for it. Even if somewhere has a '2 hour transfer' in bad weather it could be a lot more. Once you have been on one ski holiday you can figure out what you like/don't like and pick your next town accordingly.

Lech probably won't be the cheapest of places and whilst I can't offer you an alternative I would suggest you avoid Eastern Europe, whilst some people have excellent experiences there are far too many people who have hated their time there to take the chance ;)

i seem to recall from your other thread that there was a budget to consider, this will dictate to an extent where you go and keep you slightly lower, however, as said above, even the lower resorts in Austria will be fine in February.

Having read your earier posts I think you should go to somewhere like Livigno. Its high so there is always plenty of snow, its cheap as its tax free and there is loads of choice for the beginner to keep you happy for the week.
Dont worry too much about where you go on your first ski holiday as the whole experience is new for you and as Pablo said just go for it and enjoy.
