Best French or Swiss resort for a Beginner

I am an intermediate Skier and my girlfriend a relative novice (two lessons in Chateau D'Oex, 2 years ago). I am looking for somewheer to ski with lots of easy green runs in an attractive setting that will help my girlfreinds skiing develop, anyone got any good suggestions?

Depends what else you want... but first thought would be La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand. La Clusaz has a couple of suitable areas (Col de la Croix Fry is almost a separate ski area, good for kids and early skiers). Le Chinaillon, above Le Grand Bornand, has some big open Greens and easy Blues, generally sunny too with lovely views - there are also some great runs for intermediates as well as a couple of serious pitches if you're feeling brave... 8)

I expect Gravite will be along shortly to confirm ;) ...but this area (the Aravis) is very attractive and has a friendly, cosy local vibe to it too...

I think I have the place for you - La Clusaz.
We have some lovely long treelined greens, as well as some green nursery slopes to get your legs back on. Then progress to some long blues towards the end of the week. The town itself is very French and very picturesque, and the Aravis mountains are spectacular. Lift passes are cheaper, lift queues are virtually non existant, the restaurants are cheaper and better quality, the shops are fab, the bars are lively and of course our chalet which is 5 mins walk from the pistes if superb!
We can arrange lift pases and lessons in advance and our prices include transfers from Geneva, breakfast, afternoon tea and cake and 3 course evening meals with wine. We even have ski hire at the chalet at reasonable prices.
