Hi guys,
I am looking to do a season and am not sure which resort to pick. I have been offered jobs in all of them but want your opinion. I may also have Meribel and St Anton to throw into the mix, but at the mo it's just between those three.
The money in Tignes is slightly more than in Val but I would be working some days, which would mean less time on the mountain.
The money in Verb is good (better than both Val and Tignes) but the work is not as much fun.
So, if anyone can provide me with some fb / advice that would be great as I am crap at making decisions.
Just need to know things like or if you could just provide your own opinion on which one is best then that would be awesome:
- nightlife
- clientele (e.g. ratio boys:girls, age, etc)
- skiing / boarding (inc. parks)
- best bars / crap bars
- best places to work / crap places to work
- cost of living
Many thanks
xxxx

Interesting one. I have been to Verbier and St Anton and would recommend St Anton for sure. Verbier was great skiing but the place is full of what you might call upmarket toffee nosed Brits!!!!
Haven't been to Val or Tignes, but people I do know who go to Val say its as good as it gets. Hope this helps.

Hi,
Thats the sort of tough decision that I would like :D I did 9 seasons in Verbier, 1 in Val D and I've spent quite a few weeks in Tignes but I would still have a problem deciding if I had to chose one of them now.
I cant give you any advice on bars/nightlife etc cos its been a few years since I was in Val D or Verbier and things change - lots and quickly!
Verbier has in my opinion the best lift accesible off piste in the world. I was there 2 years ago and its changed a lot in terms of the village atmosphere. A lot less ski bums which has effected the vibe in the town imho.
Val D as a town is one of the most over rated ski towns in the alps, not the skiing, just the town, again imho.
Tignes is a very ugly place but your probably not going for the architecture!
If you're in the situaion where some days you just get a couple of hours to ski then Tignes is probably best for getting on and off the hill quickly. If it was me I think i'd choose Tignes, but ,and its a big but, I'm 45 and I'm probably not looking for the same things as you
The more people you ask the more opinions you'll get and they will all be different! Probably not much help this but I'm sure you will have a ball which ever one you chose. Maybe you should just pick the best job!
