Not sure if this is new, but it is new to me and I thought it worth passing on - Alpine Child Care. Basically, English (mostly) nannies you can hire by the hour or day, in-resort. Nice to see they didn't write any big cheques to branding consultants. Dunno the website right now and I'm on bath-time duty for the kids, so gotta run: Google the website.

As a parent who loves skiing with the kids, but finds the hour prior to their ski school painful and who occasionally wants to ski al day without the little darlings, I think this flexible service could be a winner. And no I'm not an owner.

Mrs T and I will be looking it up in 2010/11 season; we've already booked with kidcare for Christmas this year!!

Right, it's probly running over now, off we go..

Yeah, I knew that.

I'd ski all day with Little W given the chance, but she has to go to lessons......skiing with the kids is great fun and is highly recommended 8) 8) 8)

Jon that is the kind of irresponsible post we can all do without; gaffer tape leaves behind sticky bits that are hard to get off, everyone knows you should use brown packing tape.
Yeah, I knew that.

Did first skiing with Son One last year, was fantastic... had to abort the first effort as I forgot to strongly advise he went for a pee before we left the top of the lift where the toilets were, so 15 minutes later he's desperate and 17 minutes later, and before I can get to him to help, he's got a steaming pair of salopettes... and it's -17 degrees... oops. Straight back to the hotel.

Anyway no doubt lots more this year with both as they get more comfortable and confident, but they're still v young and need a fair bit of looking after. Hence my interest in the nanny-by-the-hour thing.
Yeah, I knew that.
