Hi
I am completely new to skiing.we went Levi in Lapland and I did ski school for a week.Learnt the basics so I can stay on my skis and just about do blue runs.We are going back to Levi next March, but I fancy a week in Italy just after New Year.My wife does not ski but is quite content to sit in a nice bar and read. Can anyone recommend the best place in Italy for a novice skier.A bit of apres ski would be prefered but not to bothered about a hectic night life.
Regards
Bob

Hi Bob,head to a resort in the Maritime Alps called Prato Nevoso.Fantastic slopeside hotels aimed at beginners and intermidiates.Went this March and had a great time, huge snow levels, great hotel - The Gallasia - and under £250 with Rocketski from Manchester.Alternatively,Livigno in Northern Italy is a great resort, but make sure you fly into Insbruck as the transfer from Bergamo is a killer 5-5and a half hours. We ski in Italy every year at least twice,so if you need any further help on other resorts( done then all !! ) let me know, regards Steve......................... 8)

Livigno and Passo Tonale are good for lesser experienced skiers. Sauze d'Oulx I have been to twice, and its often quiet on the slopes. Most are reds but a lovely wide open cruises and very flattering for developing skiers, with great choice of places to eat and have a beer. Short transfer from Turin too.
Anywhere in the dolomites is beautiful, your Mrs might enjoy the scenery and ambience over there particularly.

Thanks guys.
Never thought about airports and transfer times.Levi is only 20 mins from the airport,I will definately bare that in mind when I book.I have noticed that each agent Inghams crystal etc use different airports for each resort.
Thanks again
