RoseR wrote:Saturday I had a day from hell at work. So exhausted when I finally got home so we had a bbq and far too many pear ciders. But it was nice and I finally chilled out.

A couple of hours of tennis, then headed for garden, sunny but too cold for a barby. Two hours cutting the grass in the ride-on, listening to the ManU game on the headphones.

Time to head for the Shiraz, methinks.

And a read of the Inghams brochure.

It's not me that has the problem, gel! :-)

Just at elbows length from the Royal Throne, there is a small table, upon which I have, this week's Private Eye, the Thomson brochure, a copy of the life of Carravagio, same for Vermeer, same for Rubens.

We have a loo each, in mine is a couple of holiday brochures, The tourists guide to Greece, this weeks Pharmaceutical Journal. In Hubbys is a copy of nuts, War and peace, The star wars chronicles, and a car mag. We are not very sophisticated.

I can assure you Rose that I am not a sophisticate, or whatever the correct noun is. In the past, a car mag has been there, but when the car is bought, that is the end of it.

Last year, I mentioned to No 1 son that I was going for a new car. Amongst his other reporting jobs, he is a motoring editor. The following week, I had a four ft pile of car mags. Too much information man. I was gonna buy a land rover anyway.

My view of art may have a correlation to your man's view of Star Wars. It also fits with my general view on life, you look and learn. Scattered around the house, (Usually behind the bathroom door!) are copies of Reubens and Vermeer, done purely for learning purpose.

Wait til I put some of the Tirol artists on J2ski! I think Alfons Walde is the bees knees!

If you purchased a Freelander I will be VERY disappointed.

Pabs, we have had this convo before, I did go for a Freelander, Mark 2, so good reliability. I do admit it is a bit girlie, but girlyness has never held me back before. 8)
