Probably my least fav mounting point now. Got any vid from ADH to share?
IMO the ONLY place to mount now. Chest Harnesses are rubbish, they shake and you look like a dog on a lead. I have used the pole cam for great shots but its a pain to set up and cart about, and the pole does get heavy.
I now choose days when to use the GoPro or not, and set up accordingly. But the easiest way to get footage and pics is on the lid mount. Especially when you use the wifi with your iphone and the app.

And no, nothing I wish to share thanks.

Problem with go pro on the helmet is you look like a tele tubby! Chest mount is OK if you can get the angle right but I have an er problem with suspension shall we call it, due to my gender when wearing something strapped to my chest  My husband thinks it is hilarious!

On the subject of this thread (which is what we are here for): I like my bobble but only wear it apre ski. I wear a helmet skiing because it is warm and comfortable and keeps my hair out of my eyes and I have also banged my head in the past and although I know a helmet may not save my life, I like wearing it, so why not. It has not affected my skiing or spatial awareness and I certainly do not think I am invincible in it or go faster as a result. I am with the others on the main worries being about injuring my knees, this is foremost in my mind (perhaps we should all wear knee braces - or is that controversial too!)

I also have to remark that it is disappointing that too many people seem to take offence in threads like this, we have all heard the arguments before and no doubt will again ad nauseam.

Lighten up guys -)

Not sure where you got that from, obviously not experience.
The chest mount is probably the most stable mounting point, the elastic and your own clothing adds stability and absorbs the shake where as the helmet just bobs around.
IMO you look a nob with it on your head and use it mounted there very rarely.

An interesting point actually. You don't see many helmets worn in the pub. Why do people wear bobble hats? And why would you change from one to the other?

Because I can fold up my bobble and shove it in my pocket leaving both hands free for a beer of course

I said I wore my bobble apres ski, on the way to but not in the pub.

Bad hair day, not me, I wear a helmet, keeps my hair nice and smooth
