Hi to all
I have just returned from Niederau and Kitzbuhel where I purchased a pair of custom made boots from Daleboot in Kitzbuhel. I suffer badly from sore feet and knees and on cem's recommendation I decided to bite the bullet and get my neew boots custom made. I made the appointment with Rob at Daleboot to have the fitting the day I arrived
All I can say is worth every cent and more!!!!!!!! They were fantastic. Light, perfectly fitted and oh so comfortable. I know it is hard to believe as ski boots are never comfortable but I just want to rave about them. I did not realise also that my feet/ankles were badly pronated when I bent my knees and this hampered my turns as I was not edging properly. Rob at Daleboot fixed this (he has all sorts of measuring gadgets)and though it felt strange to have my boot so canted for the first day or so after that it was like I had discovered a whole new way to ski.
My husband was so impressed at the change in my skiing and the lack of whining about my sore feet that he also had a pair fitted. He did not once undo them or take them off during the day, I nearly had to prise them off his feet at night in case he wanted to wear them to bed!!
If anyone has any foot problems with ski boots at all I very very highly recommend Daleboot. I have been skiing for 30 years and have never owned a pair of boots like this!!!
I also enquired about the kids boots (am reluctant to buy as their feet grow so quickly and they do not normally moan too much about their hire boots :wink:P Rob showed me the boots his 10 year old daughter skiis in and they are adjustable in length like the old kids roller skates. He even offered to have them shipped in the next day at cost so my kids could have them for the rest of the trip. Fantastic service. I will do this next year
Thanks again Rob and Daleboot - you have changed the way I ski forever.
NB - I know I am going on but just to let you know I have no commercial interest in Daleboot whatsoever, just want to share my happiness with all

Hi, it does depend on what you have to have done to the boot shell, liner, canting etc. Mine were a about 600 Euro I think and my husbands around 650. As I live overseas (out of the EU)I also get back around 200 euro in tax which I am in the process of claiming.
I know it sounds a lot but I have suffered for so many years and this put an end to all my suffering. I would have paid anything to continue skiing without pain in my toes and feet.
It is worth every cent as I said in my post - go for it!
