Hi I've just registered with the J2SKI forum and I'm going on my first ski trip, I can't wait were off to Kitzbuhel Austria.
can anyone recommend a good ski hire shop in Kitzbuhel also with the euro being very strong to the pound has anyone got any cost saving tips for me ?
do you recommend booking my ski hire via the internet or when I get to Kitzbuhel ?

I would be grateful for any feedback

Hi,

When I was in Kitzbuhel, I hired skis from Inter sport. I know there's quite a few different places to hire equipment in Kitzbuhel but there are a number of intersport shops. There's one at the bottom of the gondola. The guys there were really helpful, and were happy to change equipment during the week without any problem. I changed my skis a couple of times, and they were great. They seemed very competative on price, and there was plenty of different levels of equipment to chose from.

With the euro as it is, it may well be cheaper to book the equipment before you go, but it's really easy to arrange when you get there.

Hope you have a great time.

Hi stigworth,

If you click onto skiset at the top RH of the page you are on. Feed in Austria/Kitsbuehle, and your dates.

The hire shop is given as Sport Noichl. You should Google this to find it's location relative to your accomodation or the lifts/ski school.

You will see the costs given for skis lie between 77.6 Euro and 118.4 Euro for 6 days. You can compare this with the TO price.
