OH MY GOD! I cant believe it.

We have decided to extend our stay one more day so before I changed the ferry booking I thought I would check to see if we could get a hotel room that could house 2 adults and 3 children (8,10,13).

I found a one called the B&B Frankfurt Niederrad and was only 69 euros. I contacted bookings.com and asked if we could have 3 kids inthe same room as they would share the bed and she said it would be ok and she would make a note on my booking. I said I would get back to her after I had changed the ferry booking.

I changed the ferry booking to come home the next day (basically so we could split the journey from Austria to Amsterdam into 2 legs). So a stopover halfway anywhere would do.

I rang bookings.com back to confirm the hotel room and spoke to someone else. they said hold on i will ring the hotel and check and make sure this is ok!! he come back to me and said sorry, even though the kids would be sharing the bed, this would not be allowed. the hotel room was a great price and enough to pay at 60 euros, but now because of being ill advised I am probably looking at more like 100 euros and probalby going to have to get 2 rooms, which i do not want to do! I had thought of just sneaking the 3rd child to the room but knowing my luck i will get caught!

I am really annoyed by this cock up! It is so hard getting a room for 3 kids.

Can anyone help?

We want to check in on 21st Feb, check out 22nd Feb, there are 2 adults and 3 children and we are looking to stay half way between Niederau and Amsterdam which I worked out to be beside Frankfurt, but this could be lower or higher up the country. Not bothered where it is, we dont intend sight seeing, basically it is just a place to sleep, we probalby wont arrive at the hotel until about 7pm so we will literally be eating then sleeping then leaving! I have tried formule one but still have the room size problem. I am also on a budget what with the pound being so weak!

Karen, it may be worth you contacting these folks for en-route overnights. I have used them a few times with no probs.
