I struggle to get away for a full week and have been unsuccessful this year obtaining any accommodation for a Thursday to Sunday or Monday due to week long packages preferred by hotels/apts etc. I can get the flight to and from Geneva and probably organise transfer/car hire etc but struggle to get accomm. Looking for somewhere relatively close to Geneva for shorter transfer time (But if a great opportunity came up in/around St. Anton or similar I could get flight to Zurich and train). Please can anyone recommend any accomm for the date around 19th Feb to 23rd in the region I could contact.
Preferably not Chamonix as been there on 3 previous trips.

I hate to tell you twirler, but this is half term week. you'd have a lot more luck getting a short break out of school holidays.

Hi,
I have a couple of friends who own apartments in and around Bourg-Saint-Maurice & Les Arcs (unfortunately i am booked at the time you would like,I offer accommadation to fit the needs of others rather than just Saturday to Saturday as a lot of companies do),some of the details are below.
Adam Biggs - www.mrblueski.com (located in Villaret overlooking BsM) adam@mrblueski.com
Paul McDermott (a fellow forum user in Les Arcs) "PaulMcD"
The area of BsM and Les Arcs is around 2 to 2 1/2 hours drive or 3 - 3 1/3 hours by coach which may be longer than you wish to travel, but they may be able to help, also in the classified section of the Daily Mail Ski & Snowboard magazine are quite a few privately owned apartmets which may be able to help also.
Best of luck and hope you have a great trip.
Jon.

twirler You might be lucky with looking at the hotel chains. For example there is an Ibis in Sallanches, which will take bookings by the night. Stay there and ski St Gervais, Megeve, Combloux, Les Houches, or even go as far as Flaine.
