Scapula,
I'd like to know as well, please. I'm thinking about trying the sock over liner method myself when my liners pack out - and I have several tube socks wasting space in my ski drawer :D

If they're a success I can see the national (query international) sale of ski boots falling by at least 10% next year - with the number of people who read this website

Thanks for the info swingbeep have already inserted a shim made from some neophrene/wetsuit type stuff from the drip mat in the bootroom it is linear so maybe another layer near the top later ...the boots feel great walking about in them ..changeover was fraught.. and new guests have come back from pub keeping me awake banging about etc. which is why I am posting..looking out the window the mountain looks amazing by moonlight which reminds me why I am here ..
its all going rapidly downhill!

Yes!!!
Big improvement and not all psychological!!
feels more precise and easy, been skiing on ice with no squirreling and skis feel attached to foot ...if you know what I mean... very nippy on my thin piste skis!! think the rear spoilers cracked it
Thanx everyone!!

Great news Scapula!

Sounds like your fore /aft balance is much improved. Ideally the spoiler should be made out of hardish plastic. If I were you I would take the boots to Hubert Sports (they seem to have a reasonable boot fitting setup), show them what you've done so far and see if you can scrounge a couple, lots people don't need them and many boot fitters advocate their removal.

Ask DaveMac - bound to be something better than newspaper - half his landladies pillow stuffing or something.

More Carpet Tiles probably :D

I confess to having a bad jacket experience. My lovely red jacket, practically brand noo, only 15 seasons, 75 weeks skiing old, was inadvertantly left in the carhire area at Munich Airport.
As luck would have it, my OH had FORCED me to be an expensive TK max jacket. In BLUE.
