Anyone got snow ??

Our school's shut today! :mrgreen:

I went skiing on the dry ski slope yesterday and it was awesome, just like normal skiing where it was covered in snow!! :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

No snow in Weymouth anymore but my car was parked up a cul-de-sac lastnight and the police had closed the only route out of it due to freezing slush.

Had to get the train in this morning.

Did see the copper end up flat on his back. Shouldn't laugh. :mrgreen:

This was the M25 at 10am yesterday:

The 15 to 25 cms "promised" yesterday for NS has been upgraded to 30 cms !!

Even the ski hill is closing at 4pm to permit staff safe travel home.

The schools didn't even open today --- the kids get to go to the ski hill rather than to school! :shock:

(and a question for ellistine: Did you wish you had your "yacht" in the mayhem following Michel Desjoyeaux on Foncia back into port at Les Sables d'Olonne on Sunday? The Vendee Globe is quite the adventure - the race is on now for sure!) :D

AJ call came today course is cancelled till 20th March, it was up in peaks where i was headed so glad about that, Our school wasnt shut yuk yuk yuk, but the nice head let us have an early finish at 3pm miss the traffic a whole 15mins early yippee shame it took me an hour to walk it in. grrrrrrrrrrrr.

How come you can get off an aeroplane in Austria and a coach can get you up a mountain side to your hotel through drifts and the UK comes to halt with 5" of snow? doesn't make sense, none of the roads here had been gritted through the night. makes me wonder where my £64.00 squid a month council tax goes
