sunglasses or goggles?

I thought my goggles would be okay but Hubby thinks I will need sunglasses, just because there will be so much snow everywhere not just the slopes.

I am off to Finland in a couple of weeks time, it will only be daylight for a couple of hours a day. Mostly will be under floodlights. Not sure whether to get new sunglasses (just broke mine).

i'd guess you'd have to go for goggles, but i haven't skied under floodlights except for on the dry slope where i wore nothing so maybe this could be an option also??

I skied 80 days last year... all wearing goggles. Goggles for night skiing, day skiing, flat light, no light, bright light, Sunshine. I have a couple pairs so just go with the right ones for the right conditions. Just what I think is the best..
Get some old school Ray Ban Wayfairers for when the sun doth shine and you aren't skiing. 8)

Most common lamp used for floodlights on ski slopes is a sodium vapour type. The light has a yellow colour like typical street lights. The best goggle lens for these conditions is yellow. Fortunately yellow lens goggles are common and reasonably cheap. If on a budget, yellow safety glasses work well...

Thanks for that guys, I have 2 pairs of goggles, oakleys one with orange tint and one with green tint, I shall see which works best.
Trencher those safety glasses look exactly like the ones I am supposed to wear at work while handling certain chemicals. They might just find their way into my case for the week.

Hubby has just reminded me of something, we will be doing a lot of travelling around on snowmobiles. Have to wear full helmets with visor, so that rules out the need for goggles or glasses at those times.

In my (limited) snowmobiling experience full face helmets were without visors and with need for goggles, just used my Crowbars (Oakley).
