Having been spoiled by the lift systems in the USA i would like to find a european resort that has the barest minimum of poma/T-bar tows.
I am an advanced 2 plank skier but my first love is Mono skiing and riding a Poma tow or T-bar is a pain with a high potential of catching a rut and falling over.
Many Snowboarders share this opinion however i would submit that being able to remove one soft boot and ride a snowboard up hill on a tow is easier to master than trying it on a Monoski with both legs clamped together.
I enjoy(my retro)style of snow sliding and i would like to know of a resort that is Monoski/Snowboard uphill friendly please.

La Plagne - France. I've been there several times. A huge range of skiing and perhaps 3 'drag' lifts. All of which can be missed out completly. There are more attractive resorts, but the lifts are fine.
I go with a boarder (of limited ability) and he has no problems.

You'll never know, unless you try...

Any of the large Tarentaise resorts should suit your needs.

Hi,
As per Crash and Burn, La Plagne and Les Arcs-I don't use anything but gondolas, cable-cars and chairs. I didn't see many buttons in the Three Valleys that I remember.
I went to the Grand Motte in Tignes this summer and there were several buttons-I forgot what a pain they are, you get no rest on these types of lift!
