Accomodation in Andorra

I'm going to Mayrhofen skiing with a gang in February but I'd love to go with my sister, husband and 2 kids after Christmas.
They have a self catering apartment... 1 room.. Don't want to stay there..
Do you have any ideas where I could check for accomodation for 1?
They are staying in Pas de la Casa, Andorra. What's it like? I have only been skiing twice before..
Should I go??? (if i get accomodation!!)

Hi, welcome to j2ski :D I have visited Pas, but it was after the end of the season, so the lifts were all closed but the snow was really deep :(
I would say that the pisted terrain looked quite good for early intermediates and up. The piste map shows plenty of easy to mid range slopes. The resort is quite high, so snow is usually quite good. Pas has the reputation for being a party town, so you might like to choose your place to stay to suit your needs. The lifts seem to fan out from a central point close to all the hotels and bars, so it would be a good meeting place to hook up with your family.
From my experience, the Duty Free bargains are a bit variable, but it is still a duty free zone nonetheless, being a principality which is not in France or Spain.
There are some hotels on j2ski, they might be a good place to start looking.

Hi Julie, I have been in Pas for the last 4-5 years on skiing trips and it is a wicked resort. Over the past couple of years the snow has not been fantastic but its been like that everywhere. Accommodation can be found quite easily but can vary alot in standard. The resort caters for everybody. You will have a fab time if you go. Go to Paddy's Bar its the best place in town.

Massive ski area in Pas if there's any snow. Last year I went to Arinsal first week of jan and some parts were pretty bare! Early predictions seem to be pointing towards a gooden though this year! Mind you, they said that last year?? :)

What do you want: places to eat, good bars, wheres best to ski, what time to avoid the queues, info on the buses, other resorts to visit on the lift pass, the names of the barmaids in Happy End, where to find your skis when they unload them from the plane....?????

Andorra is so small you can ski across most of it in a day - best advance would be to search for the cheapest accomodation in the area then ski to meet up with your family - that way you will get a better deal than staying in the same resort

i was in andorra last year and enjoyed it but the snow can be a let down. keep your eye on the snow forecast before you book :)
