Hi,

Check out: - http://www.theaa.com/travelwatch/inc/planner_places_redirect.jsp

If you planning your Niederau trip, suggest going to the above web site and plugging in your start european destination, and woergl as your end destination.

Have done the Euro ports to Woergl by different routes, It always seemed to be about ten hours.

Niederau is 7 km up the road fom Woergl.

thanks Dave.

You know I have just checked my invoice from DfDS and the ferry is not going into Zeebrugge. Not sure why I even thought that. It is actuall going into IJmuiden in Amsterdam.

Good job I checked that before I went. Hubby would not have been very chuffed!

Without looking at a map, you want to head across Holland and get onto the German Autobahn system, and head west as high up as possible, because the links from East to West lower down arent so good. Aim for Munich and its a doddle from there.

thanks for the advice.

So do you mean to stay out of France? When you say stay West as far as I can just how far west should I be. I have put a route into my autoroute and it has brought me on E35 through Cologne, Frankfurt, Nuremburg to Munich. I was going to take my satnav with me but I think she seems to have a life of her own and god knows where we will end up, probably across fields as she seems to take us on all the back roads lol.

I have bought myself a big A3 size map of europe along with my flourescent vest and warning triangle and tow rope. Just need to hire the chains and get me vignette.

Any idea how much fuel is in Europe? Is it worth waiting till we get to Amsterdam to fill up?
