Hi,
Does anyone know of any Austrian resorts that caters for disabled skiers?
My friends wife had an accident which left her unable to walk properly and she wants to try skiing.
A group of us are planning to go away next Feb and we need to find resorts that can cater to her needs.
Alternatively if anyone knows of any websites to get this information from it will be much appreciated.

This organisation used to be called the"Uphill Ski Club. Like Adele, I have seen these folk in Niederau, and felt very cheered by their presence and effort. In January, watching I said to my ski buddy Mel, I would like to know what it felt like to be on the sit ski.
Having looked at the website, I developed a feeling of self-centredness. I am sure I have the the requirements, and yet it has never crossed my mind to consider assisting. Watch this space.

These people do a great job,They were at Niederau in January when i was there.People with physical and mental disabilities were having a fab time skiing.
One young chap was attached to a tobbogan type of thing which had a ski on the bottom,The joy on his face said more than words ever could. The people from the organization were expert skiers and first aiders.

One of the ski instructors we had in Niederau mentioned that he coached a member of the British disabled ski team. He works for the 1st Skischule Wildschonau in Niederau - they have a website. Just thought I'd mention it because a couple of others have mentioned Niederau. Hope you get sorted out :)
