A skiing honeymoon for beginners!

Hi everyone, looking for some advice from those in the know! I'm getting married this year and me and the future Mrs JG have decided to try a skiing honeymoon. Neither of us has any experience of skiing and so would be looking for somehwere good to learn. We are planning to go around Christmas time to somewhere that has beautiful suroundings - a friend has suggested Austria. Can anyone recommend any place in particular? My budget is around about £2000 for everything. We want a place that is fairly lively as we are both in our late 20's but not an equivalent to Ibaza!
