thnking about getting some to keep track on my increasingly wayward children.

Would i need special ones for altitude or something?

Will they work around the mountains??

Same here, I bought some from Snow & Rock (not ski specific tho), they have a coverage of about 3 miles - probalt about 1.5 when you take into account hills etc!

But yeah they are great, I use them when skiing with my dad (aged 65) who often goes astray! :D

I bought a pair of walkies from a local electrical store for £15 worked just fine.

And being a big kid it is great using trucker talk.

My dad is not a member thank the lord!

You are right though, they probably provide more fun than they are used for - listening to other conversations is the best.

My mate had a good use last year in cham - we go in seperate gondalas and we plat guess the song as he sings down it - much amusement to the other passengers (those who had a personality anyway!!)
