thnking about getting some to keep track on my increasingly wayward children.
Would i need special ones for altitude or something?
Will they work around the mountains??

Hi Julietp, i purchased mine from Argos for around £35.We`ve had them a few years now and they have been fine, So no you dont need special ones.

Same here, I bought some from Snow & Rock (not ski specific tho), they have a coverage of about 3 miles - probalt about 1.5 when you take into account hills etc!
But yeah they are great, I use them when skiing with my dad (aged 65) who often goes astray! :D

I bought a pair of walkies from a local electrical store for £15 worked just fine.
And being a big kid it is great using trucker talk.

Hirsty ALL men are big kids,the pleasure my hubby gets out of the walkie talkies is priceless, They keep him quiet just like the kids :wink:

My dad is not a member thank the lord!
You are right though, they probably provide more fun than they are used for - listening to other conversations is the best.
My mate had a good use last year in cham - we go in seperate gondalas and we plat guess the song as he sings down it - much amusement to the other passengers (those who had a personality anyway!!) :mrgreen:
