Hi All,
Just back from Serre Chevalier, and heading to Alpe D'Huez for the week prior to easter weekend. Just wanted to hear people's experiences of the resort, good runs to do, fun areas to ski, restaurants/bars etc.
We're all competent skiers and looking forward to one last week of snow before the season ends!!
Cheers :D

if you're staying anywhere near the bottom third of the village leave plenty of time for the telecentre (or lobster pot as we referred to it). it took us 40 mins to get to the slopes on the first day and we missed our lessons! it was half term though so extremely busy at every lift. :x
Thanks - looking forward to the tunnel so praying they get some more snow to keep it open!
I'm hearing mixed reviews on Alaska.....yes we are staying there..... :?
I used to live at Les Deux Alpes but whenever I could I used to get over to Huez. The terrain is very variable there; something for everyone.
Never did much of the town though so can't help you, but the riding was first rate.

Thanks - I've heard similar stories about queueing for the lift in the morning - do you know what time they open? We are usually up and waiting at lifts at opening time when we ski to miss the morning rush so hopefully we can do that again in Alpe D'Huez.
Sorry you missed your lessons, that must have been very frustrating!

frustrating isn't a strong enough word  I ended up in a lesson a level below the first day and had to run to catch up with the right group on the second!
the telecentre opened at 9 and from day 2 onwards we got there at 8:50 to get to lessons for 9:30. you may be ok though, apparently the week we were there is the busiest of the year, one of the joys of having children of a school age :| . you're not staying in chalet alaska are you???
apparently the tunnel is amazing (when it's open) and the big restaurant at the bottom of the signal is great, very accommodating of a rowdy group of 27!
